What we collect through this website, why, who sees it, and the choices you have.

Last updated 8 October 2026. See also our terms of use.

1. Who we are

This website is run by J L Tech, owned by Nijamuddin Zamadar, of 157b, Lenin Sarani Rd, Chandni Chawk, Bowbazar, Kolkata, West Bengal 700072. GSTIN 19AAWPZ7054M3ZA. In this policy, "we", "us" and "J L Tech" mean J L Tech.

We decide why and how the personal information collected through this website is used. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), that makes us the data fiduciary for it.

You can reach us at jltech1984@gmail.com or on +91 93305 46762 or +91 80170 16962 (Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 8 pm).

2. What we collect

  • Details you type into a quote, contact, support or partner form: your name and phone number, and, if you choose to give them, your email, city, company, the product you are interested in, the size or location, and your message. When you press the send button, the form opens WhatsApp with these details filled in as a message to us. Nothing reaches us on WhatsApp until you press send there. We may also keep a copy of the form in our own records.
  • The quote list you build on this site (see section 6). It stays in your own browser until you send it to us.
  • Technical details that come with any request to a website, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you were on. We use your IP address to limit repeated form submissions and keep out spam. Our hosting provider also keeps ordinary server logs.
  • The page you sent a request from and, if you arrived through an advert or a link, its campaign tags (for example utm_source).
  • If you call or message us on WhatsApp, we see your number and whatever you choose to send.
  • If our privacy-friendly analytics is switched on, simple counts of visits and of taps on the WhatsApp, call and form buttons. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

We do not ask for payment card details, bank details, passwords or government ID numbers on this website. Please do not send them in a form.

3. Why we use your information

We use what you give us for these purposes:

  • to reply to your request, prepare a quote and follow up on that request;
  • to arrange supply, installation, rental or support if you go ahead;
  • to keep the records the law requires, such as invoices and tax records;
  • to protect the website against spam and misuse, and to understand in general terms how the site is used so we can improve it.

When you send a form, you are agreeing that we may use your details for these purposes. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see section 8). Withdrawing does not affect what we did before, and we may still keep information we are legally required to keep.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising profiles.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only as far as needed to run the website and deal with your request:

  • Service providers who act on our behalf, such as the company that hosts this website, the service that keeps a copy of form submissions, and any customer-records tool we use to keep track of enquiries. They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us there. Your chat is then handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
  • Google, if you load the map on our Contact page. Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies when the map appears.
  • Government bodies, courts or other authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store or process information on servers outside India. We choose providers that protect information with reasonable safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up, and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Records linked to an invoice are kept for as long as tax law requires. After that we delete the information or remove anything that identifies you.

6. Cookies and local storage

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.

The site uses your browser's local storage to remember the products you add to your quote list, so it is still there when you return. We do not receive this list unless you send the request. You can clear it from the quote page, or by clearing your browser's site data.

The map on our Contact page is provided by Google and may set cookies of its own. You can block them in your browser settings.

7. How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, forms include checks against spam, and we limit who in our business can see enquiries. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will act as the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • have it corrected, completed or updated;
  • have it erased, unless we need to keep it by law;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • have a grievance dealt with (see below); and
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.

To use any of these rights, email jltech1984@gmail.com or call +91 93305 46762 or +91 80170 16962, and tell us the phone number or email you used so we can find your details. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We will reply within a reasonable time.

If you have a complaint, write to Nijamuddin Zamadar at jltech1984@gmail.com. If we have not resolved it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

This website is for businesses and adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

10. Links to other sites

This site links to other services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and IndiaMART. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add a new tool to the site. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
